Majora – Boss Key (and other assorted goodness)

 Ooof! Tough as nails this one. The title track on Tumble Audio’s 2nd release from Majora really pulls no punches. The insistent, exhilarating digi bass line is all the more deadly for making you wait, hitting hard after a minute of funky drumming draws you in and recalls some of that classic 80s dancehall,  like:

and while the shuffling kicks and syncopated bleeps are a mile away from the dark,  half step dubstep we know and love, there’s something in that unrelenting, dare-you-not-to-move massiveness that is reminiscent of some of the genre’s deepest moments:
