Jamie Grind / Hackman

Hotly tipped British house producer Jamie Grind has a new EP out on Wicked Bass records. The Rum n Raisin EP appears to be something of a tribute to the Detroit sound, tinged with that inimitable UK garagey / bass vibe. 4 great dancefloor heavyweights here, but once again Hackman steals the show. He’s a producer that can do little wrong right now and it gives me an excuse to post this track up as well from late last year (which, missing the boat again, I didn’t hear til this year). It’s reminiscent of vintage 90s rave in its pure euphoric glow, but sounds very much now in its shuffling, genre-spanning uniqueness. Music made on machines never sounded quite so human.
